| This is just a tiny
collection of some facts about a very promising group named
Scorefor. The four guys call themselves a
Skate Punk Band. Their music is influenced by Bad Religion,
NOFX, Lagwagon, Offspring,...
They started their career under the name Shit
and released a great EP named "Gigantic".
Afterwards they changed their name to Scorefor and recorded
another 4-track compilation called "I'm a rotten kid".
One of the songs from that record - "I will"
- made it to the cover cd in Visions magazine. In November
2000 they got the chance to participate in the new
talents 2000 contest in Celle presented by WOM,
Soundcheck and BMG as one of the 5 best newcomer rock bands
in Germany and made an excellent third place.

In 2001 they got a contract from
Wolverine Records
and provided a song for "Punk Chartbusters 4". Numerous
other (well-known) punk bands appear on this record, beyond
them "Die Toten Hosen", "Bela B." and "Terrorgruppe", but
SCOREFOR's cover of the "Mike Oldfield"-classic "Moonlight
Shadow" is one of the best - if not the best song.
The next step in their career was the release of their
first long-player called "Leaving the Birdcage"
in October 2001. It can be ordered from
Amazon. The first single from that record "I
Don't Know Why" came out September, 17.
In December 2001, Scorefor taped their first video for
their second single from "Leaving the Birdcage".
The song is called "Heavyweight Champion"
and will be released in February 2002. Click
here
for some pictures of the video shooting.
So watch out for them, there definitely is more to come.
Meanwhile, visit their homepage

of their songs for downloading.
"...Will we have to be superstars..." (from "I will")
They won't have to be, but I think they
will...
